The Electric Razor or Electric Shaver works by having a rotating head of blades that shaves facial hair without the use of shaving creams or lotions. The unit is powered by a small electric motor that is usually run off of a small rechargeable battery. The first production shaver was made by the Remington company in 1937. Since that point there have been many electric razor manufacturers including the Norelco razor line created by Philips Norelco.
The Norelco is arguably the best electric razor because of its easy cleaning and its advanced technology. The first shaver was meant for people with dry skin but now they are designed with all skin types in mind. Some of the Norelco electric razors has a lotion dispenser build into them that automatically puts lotion on the skin. The use of electric razors has been increasing and they are becoming more popular. The electric shaver is much easier to use than a normal razor and takes less time, but the skin does take some time to get use to the way the electric razor cuts and lifts hair.
After shaving it is highly recommended that a moisturizer is used after shaving to relieve dry skin. Many people complain about how shaving with and that using anything but a straight shaver makes their skin dry and irritated but that is just usually from the lack of using a lotion afterward. Overall the electric razor is much better than using any other device for facial hair removal.
